In short, no matter what the Amazon web page says, I doubt very much that "Universal has remastered this to the CORRECT 16x9 2:1 LB of the original US release", because, otherwise, the film would fit the 16:9 screen without any black bars at top & bottom (my DVD proves that some image was cropped at the bottom!
