Basically i have known this girl for quite a couple of years, my best-friends brother is married to her sister, we get along really well and im well. I'm currently talking to a 17 year old girl a lot. I'm really interested in her and really want to make a move and ask her on a date. Five years might be somewhat unusual at that age, but that is largely due to the artificial restriction of most social life to people aged within one year of each. Instead of saying whether it's wrong or not, which is a pretty subjective judgment, this is just a bit of perspective.
He is in high school at home etc, you are starting adult life.
Think of what she'll miss out on in her life by not doing things with people her own age? Thinking someone isnt good enough is not a very great way to go. This is what has worked for us in the past couple of years. This was a *good* kid, that everyone thought that was a good kid and had good grades at this time last year. Try to monitor her every move but it's so hard these days.
She has missed curfew twice, once by only 10 minutes, second time by nearly an hour and I called the police because I was sick with worry when she didn't answer her cell phone. She is so badly rebellious, but she also agreed on this one. She likes you, you like her - go on - give it a go! She's so in love and wants to go back to be with him.

- Cops had a lengthy talk with her, but after two days of crying, yelling, blaming, holding, etc.
- Even if you say she is not like most girls, i still feel that this is a little no go area.
- He came to church with us and I even escorted them to the mall and gave them a time limit and everything to meet me at a certain place an hour and a half later.
- He had been having some several relationship with young girls while dating our D and actively dealing drugs while he had D with him.
In some places like California and Florida, 18 is the legal age. Is should I advise her to try to smooth things out and make this friendship at least workable while she has to be with this situation for this school extracurricular or to just pretend they don't exist. It could be dangerous or it could just be a preference which isn't condoned by socially. It's not a really healthy relationship, unless the girl is VERY mature for her age.
- A man who would lay his life down for her.
- Actually, their friends (boys and girls) even come talk to us about dating and relationships.
Youve got to find what you love
He has a good job, earns good money, has two cars and he's a really sweet guy.
If asking a question on a specific situation, please include the age and gender of both parties. If she likes you, ask her out. If you just don't like the guy, but she does, whether you like him or not, she will see him if she wants to. If you want to become her friend well then do so, but be truthful to the girl about your age and what you do. If your feelings are strong against the person make sure your own feelings are not causing them.
He tried to be a "better" boyfriend, but it also fizzled out.
My daughter is 16 and just got sent tp me from her mother my x wife to live with me, She didn't tell me she had a 22 year old boy friend that has already had a record, DUI etc. My two oldest are now 15 and 12. Nicole Richie's little sister — and fans quickly took notice of the surprising age difference between the two.
It's not normal, people will just think he is using her, the differnece between a 17 year old and 27 year old are much to vast for it to be considered "okay". It's one thing if your child's chosen boyfriend or girlfriend is clearly dangerous or age inappropriate, but what about someone you just think isn't good enough for them?
Under this formula, you can't even date a woman over the age of 30 until you have hit 46. We are also undermined by the fact that my daughter has severe bi polar disorder so it makes things difficult. We are the parents and they are the child.

- And I think your right.
- And also its legal age is 16 where i come from.
- And we talked about protections and the ups and downs of that.
The age gap is by no means too great and as you both get older it matters even less. The whole point is learning to have a fun teen life without having to have all the drama and heartache. Then what anyone else thinks is essentially irrelevant. They are both very active teens and have a large circles of friends.
Women may seem to generally operate the same way but some are some are incapable of handling a man like you. You can date someone as young as half your age plus seven years? You can only upload photos smaller than 5 MB. You probably have her whole heart in the palm of your hand.
However if she says something to make me worry I DO mention it to Mum, and Mum can deal with it. However, Khloe Kardashian apparently confirmed the pair’s relationship released on Monday. I am a grandmother whose daughter and 3 children have moved in with my husband and myself. I am in my 40's and my twin girls are 16, my son is a very responsible 21 year old man.
Justin Bieber may have just vacationed with a bevy of gorgeous models in Hawaii, but the 22-year-old has since been spotted getting cozy with Sofia Richie, the 17-year-old sister of Nicole. Justin is known as a bit of a playa in Hollywood, and since his, he has been linked to Hailey Baldwin, Kourtney Kardashian and Chantel Jefferies. MOMS, DADS, I AM A 14 YEAR OLD MALE, I KNOW I AM IMPERSENATING A WOMEN BUT IF U NEED TO KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT UR CHILDREN ASK ME.
I tried to lay the foundation so if something looked odd to him, he'd be willing to share it and get feedback. I want this grown 18 year old to go away. I would think the 27 y/o is a complete loser and the 17 y/o is probably just getting used. I'm 24 and 7 months, and I do have a crush on a 17 year old highschooler.
I didn't pursue it at first because of the age difference but I'm glad I did in the end. I do however have a 14 yr old asister that I keep a close eye on. I don't get involved until I see that it is needed. I don't understand why people can't be more open minded.
We have 6 children, 4 of which are teenage girls at the moment, and they talk to us about everything - especially boys. We have open communication with her and she shares things. We met online and to be honest we really enjoy each others company. We pray everyday that she will see the light and realize that he is all of these things but until she does I really don't know what else we can do.

- Both made decisions based on what they knew and we have been blessed with some decent decision making by our children - because they had our support to make those decisions.
Please include your IP address in your email. Plenty of my friends have had age gaps like this and no one cared. School called & we got the phone. She KNOWS no solo dates, groups of at least 6-8 kids, I know where she is at all times and she knows when she is expected to be home. She had never seen any of the Terminator movies and didnt even know what Back to the Future was, lol.
I guess I'm lucky to have girls who are more interested in sports, extracurricular activities and college than boy's. I have a 17 year old daughter who has been dating her boyfriend for a year now. I have talked to her about the sex issues. I have two friends, a 24 year old guy and a 17 year old girl. I know I can't have sex, but would casual dating be ok?
Soon she will be off to college and have many new experiences and people waiting for her. Sure, though it's technically not legal for an adult to have sex with a minor. That makes sense, considering the fact that an 18-year age difference is something to which you should really be accustomed. That was 6 years ago. That's when women start to hit their sexual peak.
No texts, calls, blocked him on facebook, spammed him on her email account (both of which I monitor routinely) and most of their mutual friends are ignoring him at school because of what he did and what he said to her about it. Normal adults in our culture do not get involved with teenagers. Not in life or in relationships either. Now I take a different approach.
Well I know this girl she used to date a 27 year old and no one but certain people had problems with it but if you are truly cared by the guy it should not matter right. What about if your 10-year-old looks at you and says, "I'm ready to date, Dad"? What is your opinion of a 24 year old man dating a 17 year old young woman. When you're 35, you can date a 24-and-a-half-year-old woman. When you're 50, you can date a 32-year-old woman.
Hello, I just turned 24 and I am in a relationship with a beautiful 16 year old woman. Help me with answers please should I feel this guilty.
I know for definite she is 17 but she only turned 17 recently! I say us as parents have to be involved completely and even though they may not want us to be it will be appreciated in years to come. I think communication is the key to all teens making the right decisions in chosing a boyfriend/girlfriend. I think it's fine to date for say, homecoming or prom but I don't believe the teens need to date exclusively. I think that's a little strange.
Maybe try dating people who are within seven years of your age -- on either side. Most of the boys my girls have "dated" I have not cared too much for. My advice there is meet them early on and show them that you are a good guy. My daughter ended up going to prom with a friend of one of her friend's boyfriend, which was disappointing but she did not want to miss out because of this drama.
He should take responsibility for his actions and tell her no he doesn't want to start a real relationship with her because it would never work.
Old daughter started "dating" when she was 13 by permission of her mom and step dad so her dad and I didn't really have a choice in the matter. One of my teens is in a serious committed relationship. Overstep that line and they will hate you. Peer pressure can be a motivating factor as well as parental involvement, and I am VERY involved in my daughter's life. Please email if you believe this is an error.
- Basically i have known this girl for quite a couple of years, my best-friends brother is married to her sister, we get along really well and im well known to her family, but since of recent we both realized that we have feelings for each other, my concern is that both of us are in 2 different places in life shes thinking of collage while im thinking of my career.
- I taught them to respect themselves and to chose people who do the same.
- We have shown them that God has given us wisdom as their parents to help them see all sides of a situation, and to help them make informed decisions.
- Then you get a little older.
- Sometimes as a parent we get busy and we postponed talking to our kids.
